Cost: $50 per player

Any extras will be available for purchase at the tournament at retail rates, limit 2.

Intermediate - advanced playing level. This tournament will be using a modified Swiss System - this means you'll play similarly ranked teams throughout the day! You've got to be king of the gym and play your A game all day to capture 1st place!
Tournament capped at 12 teams
All payers must individually register and pay
Players must be 18 years old by 4/19/25
Don't have a team, but want to play? Put your info on the Free Agent Player List
Schedule will include "working" matches (ref, lines and score)

The Kings Classic abides by the USAV Rule book
Roster
Team spots are reserved when the captain registers and pays.
Registration closes 4/5 (last day for refunds!)
No full-time positions allowed (middles, libs etc...)
If you are injured or unable to compete after this date, a replacement player must be found by you or your captain. We can only issue a refund once the replacement player registers and pays.
Jerseys encouraged, but not required.
Forfeits
If your full team is not present at the listed match time, your opponent will be given a 3 point advantage. After 5 minutes the game will be marked a forfeit.
Working
If your team is listed as "working" you are responsible to supply: 2 line judges, 1 scorekeeper and 1 referee.
If you are not at your working game at the listed match time, your next match will be forfeited.
The referee is responsible for orchestrating the coin toss at game time.
The referee is responsible for recording the scores on the scoresheet.
Warm-up
Listed match time is GAME time, all warm up must be completed BEFORE the scheduled match time.
When possible, there will be shared court time before the start of each match.
Serving
All matches will start with the captains attending a coin toss.
The winner of a coin toss has the choice of service or side of court.
Each player will only receive 1 re-serve per rotation, and the ball may be caught or dropped.
Time-outs
Each team may call one 30-second timeout per set.

This is big. We want intense competition, sometimes that can come with intense frustration.
We expect you to handle that frustration without...
- Talking down to your teammates
- Talking down to the other team
- Excessive yelling (profanity or otherwise)
- Only the Captain may address the referees
- Talking down to or yelling at your referee
You'll get one "cool down" warning, then you will be asked to leave the tournament.
