New Registration Lottery
Because our leagues often sell out in minutes, we’ve moved to a registration lottery to give everyone a fair shot at playing the sport they love.
Everyone will have a one-week window to register, after which the lottery will take place.
How It Works
Timeline: Registration opens approximately 4 weeks before the season starts.
How to Enter: Your entry is confirmed once you register and pay - this applies to Captains, Individual Players, and Group Players (Team Players can register or wait and see if their captain gets a spot).
The Draw: After the one-week window closes, the lottery takes place.
Guaranteed Spots: Did you finish as a 1st–4th seed last season? You’ve earned a guaranteed spot if you want it!
If You Win
You will receive a notification email. Make sure Contact@ElevateSportsSD.com is in your contacts!
You then have one week to have your teammates register and complete your roster.
If You’re Waitlisted
Don't lose hope! If a winning team fails to complete their roster by the deadline, they are moved to the waitlist.
That open spot goes to the first team on the waitlist that has a full roster (at least 6 players) ready to go.
Fine Print
One Entry Per Team Per League: If a Team Player attempts to also register as a Captain to improve your chances, THE TEAM WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE LEAGUE. A Captain registering for more than one leagues is allowed.
Free Agents: If there aren't enough individual/group players to form a full "Free Agent" team by the roster deadline, those spots will be released to a team on the waitlist.
Remaining Spots: If any team/player spots remain after the lottery process, they will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis
To make sure all games are enjoyable and safe for every player our volleyball leagues are categorized by playing level. If you register for a league that does not match your skill level a refund/credit may be offered.

League FAQ
Registration Types
- Individual Player: you would like to be combined with other individuals/group players to make a team
- Group Player: you and some friends (2-5 people) want to play together, but you don't have enough for a full team
- Team Player: you know your Captain's name and/or your team name
- Captain: you and your friends are ready to make a full team (6+ people) and you want to take the lead
Every player registers and pays for themselves
All schedules include double headers and bye weeks, all teams play the first week.
Traditional or rotational based substitutions (No "full time" players)
Coed M/F rule: Maximum of 3 males on the court
Roster Policy
If there is a waitlist and a team does not complete their roster by the deadline of 14 days before their league starts, they will be removed from the league and join the waitlist, the first team on the waitlist that reaches a full roster (6) will get the remaining spot.
Waitlist Instructions for a sold out league after the lottery
To get on the team waitlist, have the captain register normally, just skip sending payment. If a team does not complete their roster by the deadline of 14 days before their league starts, they will be removed from the league and put on the waitlist, first team on the waitlist that reaches a full roster (6) will get the remaining spot.
To get on the player waitlist, register normally, just skip sending payment. If a player has to drop their registration due to an injury or other conflict, a player on the waitlist will be given the spot.
